Wednesday 20th January

Today we would like you to listen to the story 'Dear Zoo'. Once you have read the story ask your child these questions;

What was the first animal the zoo sent?

Which animal was too tall?

Why did they send the lion back?

Which animal was too grumpy?

Why is a snake scary?

Which animal was eating a banana?

Why did they send the frog back?

Which animal was perfect?

Dear Zoo (Big Little Book Corner)

If you could write to the zoo to ask for a pet.... what would you like? Have a go at drawing your favourite animal on the worksheet below. An adult can help you fill out the writing.

As an extra task, have a go at creating your own animal enclosure. You could choose a soft toy or a small plastic animal. You could use building materials like blocks, or lego. Or you could create an animal enclosure using craft materials. Here are some ideas.
