Here We Are - Read Aloud Picture Book | Brightly Storytime

Listen to the story

Discuss the animals in the book. Can you name any of them? Can you identify animals that can swim, fly or walk on land? Can any animals do more than one of these?(e.g. birds can fly and walk on land)

Can you find the Dodo in the picture? The thought bubble next to the Dodo reads 'I’m not supposed to be here'. This is an animal that is now extinct. This means that they are no longer living. This is mostly because people hunted them for food. Other animals are also in danger because of people hunting them or destroying their habitats, such as the orangutan, tiger and turtle. How do you feel about this? Are people always nice to animals?
