Extra Curricular

For many years we have repeatedly gained an EDUCATION EXTRA AWARD. Only 300 schools in the country have this award which recognises the breadth and quality of activities.

CHILDREN'S UNIVERSITY: The school has signed up to the childrens university which stretches and validates childrens learning. To date many children have benefited from various modules, including drama, art and life saving. Impact Arts week was run as a full time course in the first week of the summer holiday.

SCAMPS: Our performing arts club has acquired a national reputation. Including drama, orchestra and choir, they perform in school, church and around the town and county.

SCAMPS Dance - We have the SCAMPS dance group on Wednesdays straight after school. For anyone who enjoys creating a dance sequence to music and having lots of fun in the process!

SCAMPS Choir - Thursday 3.15pm

GARDENING: Many of our pupils have taken part in the development of the butterfly and peace gardens. Efforts have been rewarded by repeated recognition in the Rugby in Bloom competition.

SPORTS: Children can take part in football, netball, swimming, cross country and cricket. Several teachers have acquired FA trainer status reflected in county performances.

LINE DANCING - Tuesday 3.15pm
On Tuesdays after school we now have a line dancing hour £2.50 per session with instructor - Bill McKechnie. If you would like to have fun and keep fit this is for you!
